A partnership agreement has been signed between the Cameroon Radio Television and the Japanese International Corporation Agency-JICA, for the rehabilitation of some Crtv broadcast studios and other technical facilities .
Charles Ndongo, Crtv Director General signed for the corporation while Mme Masuda, resident representative of JICA signed for Japan.
According to the agreement signed this Friday 19th July 2019 at the Crtv Production Centre in Mballa ll, the Japanese government will disburse approximately FCFA 1billion for the project.
Crtv has also undertaken to promote the Japanese culture on its airwaves.
The agreement has been signed three weeks after a group of Japanese Telecommunications engineers completed feasibility studies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Crtv’s General Manager Charles Ndongo indicated that the upgraded equipment will not only ease work, but also offer quality programs and boost the corporation’s ratings.
The project which will be executed between February 2020 to October 2021 is third in the series from the Japanese government since 1990.
