SAGO, a forum to highlight government endeavours in making Cameroon an emerging nation by 2035 was launched Tuesday 9th July 2019.

The theme of this year’s exhibition is “Public Investment, great opportunities and development for Cameroon.”

Over 100 state corporations and projects are exhibiting goods and services.

Minister René Emmanuel Sadi stated that such an initiative is essential in bringing together all actors of development under the same umbrella of action.

The Minister called on private sector actors to work in synergy with government to realise President Paul Biya’s emergence drive.

SAGO: The exhibition ground

Many state corporations have occupied stands at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex to exhibit their goods and services.

At the stand of the Ministry of Communication among the front liners, exhibitors tutored the public on the missions and related activities of the ministerial departments.

Also at the stand of the Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation CAMWATER, curious guests came around to get answers on water production and distribution in Cameroon.

It was an occasion to get explanation on the periodic scarcity of water witnessed in urban areas.

At the SONARA stand, many were eager to have last updates on the recent fire incident in the corporation.

The company exhibitors briefed the quests on measures put in place to cushion scarcity of petroleum products triggered by the fire incident.

Amongst other interesting stands are those set up by the Ministry of Art and Culture and the Supreme State Audit.

Experts from both Ministerial departments explain the workings and missions of their respective institutions.

The first edition of the SAGO was organised in 2012 with just over five exhibitors.

The present 8th edition is grouping over one hundred exhibitors.

Approximately 70,000 visitors are expected at the exhibition ground by 13th June when it ends.
