The 32 years old a heavy weight champion, Francis Ngannou will be featured in the next part of the American action movie, “Fast & Furious 9”. The action thriller is set to be in the released on 9th May 2020.
Francis Ngannou, the fierce heavyweight knockout artist gained popularity during his UFC career for his strength and speed. He recorded several victories including three straight knockout wins. He beat former heavyweight champion in Cain Velasquez Junior Dos Santos.
The Cameroonian born fighter will try his hand at acting as he joins one of the most profitable film franchise in history. UFC fighter Francis Ngannou has become the newest member of the Fast & Furious 9 family.
The newest ‘’Fast & Furious’’ film will feature returning stars such as Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster as well as WWE superstar John Cena, who is also a newcomer.
Who is Francis Ngannou
Francis Ngannou was born on 5 September 1986. He is a Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist, competing in the Heavy weight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Ngannou was born and raised in the village of Batie, Cameroon.
At the age of 22, Ngannou began training in boxing, despite reluctance from his family in the beginning after training for a year, Ngannou migrated to France at the age 26 to pursue a professional boxing career.
The film ‘’Fast & Furious”
The film fast and furious is an American action series that largely highlights illegal street racing and fights. The Franchise also includes short films, a television series, live shows and theme park attractions. It is distributed by universal Pictures.
The first film was released in 2001, with focused on racing, before culminating; “Fast & Furious.
Ngannou is also joining a series of films famous for casting mixed martial artists after former strike forces star Gina Carano appeared in the installment of the series with Ronda Rousey then appearing in “Furious”
There’s no word on the part Ngannou will play but filming is already underway with location shoots in London, Los Angeles and Thailand.
