Over 500 youths are taking part in a three-day conference on digital competence currently holding in Yaounde.
The meeting which began on 7th August, is organized by the National Agency for Information and Communication Tevhnologies-ANTIC.
Discussions are focused on “Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship in the digital era”.
Policy makers, business persons , teachers, members of the civil society and entrepreneurs are passing down knowledge of the digital age, now known as the fourth industrial revolution.
Beyond sensitizing youths on the importance of the digital technology, the organizers are equipping them with skills required to thrive in the digital age.
The over 500 youths in attendance are being exposed to a whole new world of online job opportunities.
Day two activities are accompanied by a series of interviews that will see some companies hire Tech professionals , and recruit interns.
A career fair will crown the conference on Friday, 9th August 2019.
