The casket of Cameroon’s fourth Prime Minister, Sadou Hayatou has returned to the country from Switzerland.
Shortly after the aircraft carrying the body of the late statement landed at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport it was received and identified by Cameroonian authorities and family.
Military honours were then given to the Former Prime Minister who died in Switzerland from an illness.
The convey later drove to the Lake side residence of the Former Prime Minister where an inter religious service has been organized.
The wake keep will be marked by reading of the Quran.
The President of the Republic is represented at the official funeral decreed for the fallen statesman by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji.
Before Yaounde, a funeral ceremony and prayer session was organized in Lausanne on 2nd August 2019 after Friday prayers.
Sadou Hayatou will be laid to rest in Garoua North region on Tuesday, 12th August 2019 after prayers at the Garoua Mosque.
