Members of government, former Prime Ministers and relatives of fallen Statesman Sadou Hayatou have been trooping the lake side residence of the deceased.
At the main entrance the police has taken position controlling traffic while the Gendarmerie filters who enters the residence of the former Prime Minister.
A red carpet has been place at the courtyard to usher the casket of the deceased one last time into his residence.
Mourners have taken position in tents that have been installed within the premises.
Loud speakers installed in the compound play Quran scriptural readings none stop.
A wreath offered by the President of the Republic is conspicuously place at the entrance to the living room visible behind a class door.
Despite the rain of the mourning mourner continue entering the compound to pay their last respect to Sadou Hayatou, Cameroon’s fourth Prime Minister.
According to the program of the official funeral decreed by the President of the Republic and interreligious prayer session and military honours are expected this Monday 12 August 2019 in the compound.
The casket arrived the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport earlier in the evening and was received by the government authorities and the family.
The President of the Republic is personally represented at the funeral by the Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji.
Sadou Hayatou will be laid to rest in Garoua, North Region on Tuesday, 13th August 2019.
