The Volleyball Lionesses of Cameroon has suffered three straight defeats in three days at the ongoing 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup in Japan.
Cameroon, one of the two representatives from Africa registered the following
# 3-0 defeat in favour of Russia
#3-0 in favour of China
# 3-2 in favour of the Dominican Republic

First set: 14–25
Second set: 15–25
Third set: 10–25
In their second outing, the Cameroonian ladies gave in to pressure from China in 3-0 game.

On day-3 Cameroon suffered a 3 sets to 2 defeat from Dominican Republic in their third game.
The volleyball lionesses lost their first two sets but bounced back to win the third and failed to win 4th and the 5th sets.

Second set: 25–15
Third set: 23–25
Fourth set: 28–30
Fifth set: 15–10
Cameroon gets a day of rest this Tuesday 17th September 2019 before returning to the competition on Wednesday 18th September against host Japan.
The girls of Jean Rene Akono will later face-off South Korea on Thursday 19th September 2019.
In all, twelve teams qualified for the competition, two teams of FIVB World Rankings from each continental federation on 1 January 2019. Japan qualified automatically being the host and Serbia qualified as 2018 World Champion
