CEMAC: Chairperson of the Economic And Financial Reform And President Of The Republic Of Congo, Denis SASSOU N’GUESSOU Grants Interview To CRTV’s Head Of CEMAC Desk.

The chairperson of the Economic and Financial Reform Program of CEMAC, dubbed (PREF-CEMAC), and President of the Republic of Congo, His Excellency, Denis SASSOU N’GUESSOU in an exclusive interview with CRTV’special envoy and head of the CEMAC desk, Marie Laurence Nkee.

 

For over 25 minutes, the chairperson talked about issues dealing with the economicI and financial reforms of the CEMAC Sub Region which would enable CEMAC member countries to come out of the economic doldrums, and get support from the international community.

During the interview President SASSOU N’GUESSOU revealed some of the remarkable progress the sub region has achieved notably in terms of restructuring its financial institutions, free circulation of people in the CEMAC Zones, construction of transborder roads that are ongoing and many more.However, the Chairperson still encourage member countries to embark on diversification of their economies. Most of the Economic and financial reforms have been formulated into 12 integrating projects taking into considerations the specificities or realities of individual member states, the President noted. Priority projects such as agro-industries, agriculture, transport infrastructure, hydroelectricity network, educational projects amongst others also featured in the interview with

Asked about visiting his adopted town of Sangmelima in the presence of the entire CRTV’special envoy crew at the presidential Palace, the President answered , “yes l will”, pay a visit to my fellow citizens in Sangmelima in the nearest future.
