The Administrive Brench of the Supreme Court has given its verdict on some 103 petitions before its jurisdiction.
This was during a court hearing in Yaounde on Wednesday January 15, 2020.
The cases were filed in appeal following dissatisfaction from the initial verdict rendered be the administratives courts following the decision of the Electoral board of ELECAM to accept of reject candidatures for the February 9 municipal election.
The majority of the appeals from SDF, CPDM, NSFC, NUDP, PURS, PDC, PCRN and other political parties were declared inadmissible by the court which is the highest jurisdiction in matters of municipal elections.
The court session was presided at by the interim President of the Administrative Bench of the Supreme Court, Daniel Ndoumbe Eteki.
The administrative bench of the Supreme Court reinstated the list of the National Union for Democracy and Progress, NUDP in Pitoua where it was contested by the PCRN.
The President of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation, Cabral Libii expressed dissatisfaction with the rejection of all his party’s petitions.
The Administrative bench of the Supreme Court declared its incompetence to handle about 50 cases.
