Cameroon vs Zambia: Coaches announce the strategies
Cameroon national women’s team to face the shepolopolo of Zambia this thursday march 5 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in the fifth round of qualifiers for the 2020 olympic games in Tokyo.
A twin press conference prior to the Cameroon vs Zambia encounter took place wednesday match 4 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde.
During the exchange with media men and women, the head coach of the Lionesses, Alain Djeumfa said his girls are upfit and ready to win the game with as many goals as possible.
Also present at the press conference was the captain of the women’s national team Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene.
She promised that her team mates will make themselves respected by their opppnent Zambia who so far in the qualifier process are reputed for their accuracy infront of the goals.
Zambia have scored 11 goals most of them in away turfs and have conceeded only two goals.
Cameroon on their part have netted 5 goals and conceeded 4.
However, the head coach of Zambia, Bruce Mwape has acknowledge the strength of the Lionesses, though he expresses fearlessness”. Cameroon is a good team, he said.
They’ve participated in a lot of competitions as compared to Zambia but that doesn’t mean we should fear them. We played them twice in COSAFA and we beat them in the quater finals and in the same competition they managed to beat us 1_0. So we are very much prepared to meet them”
The Cameroon vs Zambia clash is a two legged fixture. The first match will take place in Yaounde, Cameroon this thursday March 5 and the second has been slated for next week in Lusaka, Zambia.
The winner of the round of qualifier matches will for sure represent Africa in the upcoming 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo.
