Honourable Mbah Ndam Joseph is no more

Outspoken opposition politician, Honourable Mbah Ndam Joseph of the lead opposition party, SDF has died in Yaounde.

He passed away early morning of Monday, April 13, 2020 after a brief illness according to the family.

Born on February 22, 1955, the demise of the politician and former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly was described as a great loss to the party and the nation.

“The SDF family is in deep tears with the passing on to glory of the Right Honourable Joseph Mbah Ndam this morning the 13th of April 2020 in Yaounde. The fall of this Statesman of rare qualities is an irredeemable loss to the SDF in particular and Cameroon in general. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Hon Joseph Mbah Ndam has been SDF Member of the National Assembly for over two decades.

He left parliament at the close of the 9th Legislative Period.

Hon. Mbah Ndam Joseph was very influential the party and was one lawyers who fought hard at the Constitutional Council and obtained a rerun of the Fabruary 9, legislative election in parts of the North West and South West regions.

The Native of Batibo in Momo Division of the North West region was also member of the Pan African Parliament and member of several parliamentary networks.

He has also been victim of the ongoing crisis in the North West and South West regions.

His house in Batibo was burnt down to ashes in what is suspect to be an arson.
