The Inter ministerial committee to monitor and evaluate the government’s riposte strategy against the COVID19 pandemic is evaluating the efficiency of hydro chloroquine in the treatment.
The effect of the medication on COVID19 patients is being examined at The Star Building this Thursday, August 13, 2020.
Prime Minister – Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute is chairing the weekly meeting of the Inter ministerial committee to monitor and evaluate the government’s riposte strategy against the COVID19 pandemic.
The session that focuses on the debate around the efficiency of hydro chloroquine, is also looking at the the availability of protection masks against COVID19 and the norms which must be respected in the fabrication of masks.
Prime minister Joseph Dion Ngute and members of the inter ministerial committee are also discussing measures to make the mandatory wearing of masks in public places effective and enforceable by council officials.
The latest statistics on the evolution of COVID19 presented during the meeting indicate a cumulative number of 18,118 positive cases in Cameroon with 16.538 recoveries so far.
