Nine Cameroonians from the entertainment industry stand the chance of winning awards at the 2020 edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA.
The list of nominees for the 2020 edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA is out and the names of nine Cameroonians have featured in ten categories.

TayC features as one of the nominees for Best Male Central African Artist.
In the Female Category of Best Artist in Central Afirca, Reniss, Daphne, Charlotte Dipanda and Blanche Bailly, all Cameroonians, have featured.
Askia on her part, is one of the nominees for Best Female Rap Act. Meanwhile, Tenor is nominee for the Male Category of this award.
For Best Video Director, Dr Nkeng Stephens, director of many Cameroonian songs is nominee.
Cameroonian Producer and Artist, Salatiel was nominated in the category of Best Music Producer of the Year.
Tenor has a second nomination: Best Francophone.
The African Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA is a platform to promote the diversity of African music by bringing top African talents across the world on the same stage to celebrate African music, its organisers indicate.
This award ceremony takes into account all musical genres including: Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Coupé Decalé, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Hiplife, Kwaito, Lingala and Soukous amongst others.
The show is at its seventh edition and will be organised virtually for the first time, due to COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the theme of focus is “Destination Africa”.
A total of 27 categories make up the 2020 AFRIMMA.
