The List of votes to go to the polls on December 6, 2020, for the election of regional councillors has been released.
The election governing body, Elections Cameroon has made the list available at the ELECAM Divisional branches for consultation, in keeping with the dispositions of the Electoral Code.
According to the code, ELECAM has the duty of publishing the list 15 days after the electorate is convened.
In a release made public by the Director General of Elections at ELECAM, Erik Essousse, members of the two electoral colleges concerned by the December 6 election of Regional Councillors are invited to consult the lists.
Those specially concerned include municipal councillors and duly approved first, second and third class native traditional chiefs at the various Divisional branch offices of elections Cameroon.
Situation At ELECAM Mfoundi Branch
The lists of votes for the up coming election of Regional Councillors have been placed in two separate area in the same hall and another copy is on a billboard in front of the office.
On the board is the list of first, second and third class native traditional chiefs on one side and the names of municipal councillors of all the seven councils that make up the Mfoundi divisions on the other.
The head of the branch, Yannick Basile Fouda Atangana said the lists are open for electors to verify their names, pictures and other details so that corrections can be made.
So far, members of the electoral college have not yet begun seen showing up for the verification exercise.
