Religion: Protestants determined to live in unity and peace

Christians of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC Bastos parish have been urged to make their contribution in maintaining peace in the world.

The call is from the Moderator, the Right Reverend Nyansako ni-Nku who was in Yaounde for a pastoral visit. In his sermon during church service yesterday 25th October, the moderator said urged Christians to show the light and contribute in preserving peace at all levels.

The Right Reverend Nyansako ni-Nku was in the Bastos Parish for his last time as moderator. He is poised to retire soon after having served as pastor for 40 years.

In a related development, Protestant Churches in Cameroon are celebrating 40 years of unity. Activities to mark the event started a week ago.  A joint church service was organised at the 20th May Boulevard in Yaounde yesterday, 25th October 2009 as a major highlight of the celebrations. The service brought together all 11 members of the Council of Protestant Churches of Cameroon, CEPCA.
