Former GM pleads not guilty to embezzlement

12/05/2009 Trial for the former General Manager of the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd, CNIC, Zaccheus Forjindam and co-accused Mrs. Rose Constance Njoh opened last Friday 8th May 2009 in Douala.                 
The accused appeared before the Wouri High Court and pleaded not guilty to all charges read out against him.

Before the not guilty plea, legal teams for the prosecutor and the defense were introduced during the brief audience that was adjoined for the 27th of May 2009.

It is worth recalling that Zaccheus Forjindam was dismissed and arrested on the 7th of March 2008 at the end of an extra-ordinary board of Director’s meeting of the Cameroon shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd.

He and former Director of Human Resources, Rose Njoh, were immediately detained after having been accused of embezzling 969.171.579 F.
