Ministers at work

1. Higher Education

Higher Education Minister, Professor Jacque Fame Ndongo has told some 1.600 graduating teachers from the Yaounde Higher Teachers Training College to go to remote parts of the country and help government push back illiteracy.

He was presiding over the graduation ceremony of the 48th batch from ENS Yaounde. The Director of the school said some 56 teachers constituted the pioneer batch of computer science teachers.

2. Territorial Administration and Decentralization

The Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization has presided over a meeting to assess the state of security in the Far North Region.

The Minister applauded efforts made by the forces of law and order in fighting armed banditry in the Region.

3. Mines, Industry and Technological Development

The Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, Badel Ndanga Ndinga has chaired the 20th edition of the African Industrialisations Day.

During the ceremony, the Minister said Cameroon will henceforth lay emphasis on primary industries.

4. Small and medium sized enterprise, handicraft and social economy

The Minister of Small and Medium sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicraft has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a handicraft centre in Douala.

Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa was on a working visit to Douala during which he attended a regional handicraft exposition.
