30/11/2009 In sports, the Cameroon Judo Federation has designated a consensus Executive Committee. The committee has been put in place to assist the federation President manage the activities of the Federation for the next four years.
The committee was installed last week end amidst disagreements within the federation.
Meantime the National Intermediate Football team leaves the country last Saturday for Bangui, the Republic of Central Africa. They are expected to participate in the 6th edition of the CEMAC cup tournament that kicks-off on the 2nd of December 2009.
The competition shall feature only home-based footballers from the six countries of the Central African region. Cameroon, the current cup holder, shall play in group B alongside Chad and Gabon.
In other development, matches counting for the sixth day of play of the MTN Elite 1 Championship were played in various stadia nationwide. According to the results recorded, Tiko United tops the league table after defeating AS Matelots 1-0. The boys from the South West Region presently has 13 points, just one point above their runner-up Coton Sport of Garoua that suffered a 1-0 defeat inflicted on them by Ngaoundere University Football Club.
