1. Inter-ministerial Committee for the attribution of radio frequencies meets
The first ordinary session of the Inter-ministerial Committee for the attribution of radio frequencies met today in Yaounde to seek ways of effectively regulating the sector.
The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Jean Pierre Biyiti Bi ESSAM, Chairman of the committee, said their challenge is to weed out unauthorised users, reduce interference and ensure the availability of frequency bands for important public services.

2. Christine Ockrent, head of France 24 and RFI ends working visit to Cameroon
The head of the French Audiovisual service abroad, Christine Ockrent, has reaffirmed the value of Cameroon to the public media organs she runs. She was speaking during a press conference in Yaounde.
She presented the new programme of RFI and France 24. Christine Ockrent also announced that RFI will oversee European Union funded training for media workers next year in Cameroon.

3. The Cameroon Association of the female Jurists made their voice heard in a press briefing in Yaoundé
The Cameroon Association of the Female Jurists, CAFEJ in partnership with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and the Family and United Nations Fund for Women, UNIFEM, organised a press briefing in Yaounde.
The press briefing was to inform the public on issues related to the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination and violence against female jurists.
The press briefing was also a platform for the women to sensitize the female folk on the 1979 Convention adopted by the United Nations which tackles women issues.
