Copenhagen Climate Change: President Paul Biya mounts the rostrum

21/12/2009

President Paul Biya has addressed the United Nations conference on climate change in Copenhagen in Denmark.

In his address to Heads of State and Governments in the Danish Capitals Thursday 17th December 2009, the President said that a global climate change needs a global mobilisation and solution.

Paul Biya said Africa needs to be compensated for its sacrifices in regulating the world’s climate. To him; the time for action is now.

Cameroon’s Head of State indicated that the world wants to see responsible solutions from Copenhagen and that it is a moral responsibility for industrialised countries that emit green-house gases to compensate developing countries like Cameroon that bear the brunt.
