Football: Paul Le Guen‘s stay with the Indomitable Lions extended

21/12/2009

French man, Paul Le Guen has signed a contract with the government of Cameroon to coach the national football team, the Indomitable Lions for eight more months.

Accordingly, the French Coach shall provide technical assistance to the country’s national team during the African Cup of Nations in Angola and the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.

The Contract was signed Thursday 17th December 2009 at the Yaounde Multi purpose Sports complex in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Michel Zoa.

The latest development comes in the wake of the Indomitable Lion’s qualification for the two international expeditions under the guidance to Paul Le Guen.

He was invited in at a time when Cameroon’s national team had suffered a series of defeats and was experiencing managerial crisis.

He brought the team from the bottom to the top of the group after orchestrating a number of victories.

Speculations are rife that under Paul Le Guen’s direction, the Indomitable Lions are sure to bring home the African Cup Nations trophy and revive past glories during the World Cup.
