1. Minister says Farmers will receive more

The Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, has announced that the government plans to increase financial aid to farmers of the South region in particular and the nation in general.

The announcement was made a farmers brace up for the National Agro-Pastoral Show, billed for Ebolowa at the beginning of 2011. Jean KUETE was presiding over the opening of the 2009 Mini-Agro Pastoral Show of the South Region in Ebolowa.

2. Minister of research launches programme on palm seedlings

Government will inject about 3.9 billion CFA francs to boost research in the palm oil sector, in order to enhance the sustainability of palm oil production in Cameroon.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation Magdalene Tchuente on Thursday 17th December in Dibamba, at the launch of the National programme for the production of improved palm seedlings in Cameroon.
