1. Suspect of French Military plane raid apprehended

A French Military plane from Brazzaville on its way to Bangui on transit at the Yaounde International Airport was raided. The incident took place on the 12^th of December 2009. According to a communiqué made public by the Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, a suspect has been apprehended.

The suspect who is presently being investigated is said to have acknowledged the act. In the meantime, all military officials on duty that day have been sacked.

2.Abdouley Abdoul Lazark is first National Youth Council President

There is a new President of the National Youth Council in Cameroon. Abdouley Abdoul Lazark of the North Region was elected last week end during the first elective General Assembly of the National Youth Council at the Yaounde Conference Centre.

The committee that had been coordinating elections at the council, divisional and regional levels oversaw the elections which youth representatives described as transparent. The pilot committee is headed by Christain Essomba Tang

3.Street children: stakeholders meet to check the phenomenon

Partners involved in the fight against the phenomenon of street children have taken the commitment to intensify their efforts to ensure that the situation is checked.

This is one of the resolutions taken at the closing ceremony of the workshop to reinforce their technical capacities. The occasion was presided over by the Secretary General at the Ministry of Social Affairs Zoua Houli Abraham.
