10/02/2010 The President of the Republic, Paul Biya has appointed governors of the ten regions of Cameroon.
According to the communiqué the following have been appointed;
- Adamawa Region -Enow Abrams Egbe
- Centre Region - Eyene Lom Roger Moise
- East Region - Lele L’Afrique Deben Tchoffo Adolphe
- Far North Region - Beti Asomo Joseph
- Littoral Region - Fai-Yengo Francis
- North Region - Gambo Haman
- North West Region - Abakar Ahamat
- West Region - Ivaha Diboua Samuel Dieudonne
- South Region - Ndjaga Jules Marcellin
- South West Region - Koumpa Issa
Four new administrators have been promoted to the rank of governor while six others have been maintained.
Lele L’Afrique Aldolf, Enow Abrams Egbe, Enow Abrams Egbe, Abakar Ahamat remained in their regions while Eyene Loum Roger Moise and Koumpa Issa were sent to other regions.
These are the pioneer governors of regions created to replace provinces in line with the decentralisation process that is ongoing in Cameroon.
