1. Cholera epidemic in the Far North: death toll increases
The population of the Far North region is expected to have begun receiving free drugs and clean drinking water as the authorities’ battle to bring down the increasing death toll from the Cholera epidemic.
Authorities of the Far North Region take far-reaching resolutions to stabilize the epidemic during a crisis meeting that brought together members of the Far North regional committee for the fight against cholera.

2. Veterinary education: experts concert in Yaoundé
Representatives of six universities in the central African sub region, along with those of the European Union and the Italian embassy, met in Yaounde to brainstorm on how to harmonise regional academic curricula, improve research methodology on veterinary medicine and on the safety and security of foodstuff of animal origin.
They were meeting within the framework of the project “linking institutions for veterinary education” that links six universities within the CEMAC zone to some Italian universities.
