CEMAC Extra-ordinary summit: President Paul Biya leads delegation to N’Djamena

30/10/2017The Presidential Couple left Yaounde this 30th October 2017 for N’Djamena, Chad to take part in an extra-ordinary summit of CEMAC to begin tomorrow 31st October 2017.

Paul and Chantal Biya arrived N’Djamena at 5:00PM and was welcomed by President Idriss Deby Itno and wife, and close to fifteen thousand Cameroonains in Chad.

The delegation accompanying the Presidential couple is composed of;

#Minister of Eternal Relations; Mbella Mbella Lejeune
#Minister of the Economy Planning and Regional Development, Louis Paul Motaze
#Minister of Finance, Alamine Ousmane Mey
#Minister incharge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic , Arrey Mengot
#Rear Amiral Joseph Fouda
#Deputy Director of the Civil Cabinet, Joseph Le
#Cameroon’s Ambassador to Chad, Oumarou Sanda
#Charge de Missions at the Presidency, Ekoumou Magnus
#Chief of State Protocol Simon Pierre Bikele

President Paul Biya and the other five Heads of state of the CEMAC member countries are meeting to discuss issues of regional intergration at a time when Gabon and Equatorial Guinea have opened their borders to nationals of othe CEMAC member countries.

The agenda for discussion during the extra-ordinary summit includes ;
#Financing of CEMAC commission
#Free movement of peoples and goods within member countries
#Appointment of officials into posts within the CEMAC commission .
