Secondary Education: Outstanding teachers and students honoured

Some 108 secondary school teachers and 293 students have received awards for excellence this Monday 16th October 2017.

The Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe handed the awards alongside other Government officials during the first edition of the Excellence Prize Award of the Ministry of Secondary Education.

During the ceremony, Minister Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe hailed the work of the teachers who have tirelessly dispensed knowledge towards nation-building.

He also lauded the students for their outstanding performance at the various national exams, encouraging others to emulate the example.

This award ceremony is a promise made by the Secondary Education Minister in 2016 to encourage hard work.

A team that has been at work on the texts selected the 401 outstanding teachers and students that were honoured this day.

The Ministry of Secondary Education’s Excellence Awards has been instituted to render students more competitive, motivate teachers, add value to national exams and encourage innovation in the secondary education sector.
