Anglophone Crisis: The nation honors her fallen heros.
The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo on behalf of the Head of State honors six uniformed officers killed in Manyu Division.
The Minister was accompanied by the Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguele during a tribute ceremony organised in Buea this 8th November 2017.
The six fallen heros include four gendarmes and two police officers ;

The six who were posthumously awarded the Cameroon medal of valour were killed on the night of Wednesday 29th November 2017 in Agborkem- German and Thursday 30th November 2017 in Otu, Manyu Division of the South West Region.

Ceremony
During the ceremony, the Minister extended President Biya’s condolence to the bereaved families.
The Head of State also described the soldiers as exemplary, honorable and devoted.

Minister Joseph Beti Assomo on the occasion reechoed President Biya’s declaration on the 1st December 2017 stating that the perpetrators of such acts will be brought to justice.
The four gendarmes and two police officers have been buried in their various regions of origin.
