The auxiliary Lions of Cameroon have continued to train ahead of their day-2 encounter with Angola at the ongoing 2018 Africa Nations Championship,CHAN,in Morocco.
The team intensified their training after their first outing at the championship during which they were humbed to a 1-0 defeat by the Red Devils of Congo.
Despite the loss,the Coach of the Intermediate Lions,Regobert Song Bahanag and his collaborators multiplied the training sessions ahead the team’s clash with Angola this Saturday 20th January 2018.
Wednesday 17th January 2018,just a day after the match pitting Cameroon versus Congo, the atmosphere was a morous one in the den as the players watched a video of their match.
After this Coach Regobert Song cried foul to the poor and frail attack line that greatly contributed to the defeat of the Lions in Morocco.
As the Lions braces up for their seocnd game this Saturday 20th January 2018,the team had their first training session at the Adrar Annexe stadium in Agadir,Morocco at 5 p.m Wednesday January 17.
According to the programme schedule,the team had an in-camera training this Thursday 18th January 2018 at the Andrar Annexe,Morocco.
This Friday 19th January 2018,the team is schedule to have an official press conference at 3:30 p.m Moroccan time.
The penalists are Coach Regobert Song Bahanag,the team Captain Junior Awono and his assistants,David Eto’o and Bawak Thomas.
At 4 p.m,the team will have a training at the Adrar Annexe stadium in Agadir.
The Palancas Negras of Angola edged past Mauritius and Madagascar to qualify for their third participation.
Angola’s best performance was in 2011 when they lost the final to Tunisia. They failed to progress from the group phase in their last participation.
The Indomitable Lions, who have twice reached the quarterfinals, are making their third appearance. Their 23-man squad is made up of players from 16 different clubs.
In the meantime,the host country,Morocco has already qualified for the quarter-finals of the championship after spanking Guinea 3-1 during their second outing at the group stage.
Sudan has also recorded a win in her day-2 derby with Mauritania,1-0 at the Mohamed V, Stadium in Casablanca,Morocco.
As at the now,Morocco will clash with Sudan on Sunday 21st January 2018 for the run of who stays at the top of Group A.
Guinea and Mauritania could not advanced to the next stage of the competition reason why the Guinean government has sacked its coach.
In Group B,Uganda and Ivory Coast are out while Zambia and Namibia have all advanced to the next stage.
This Friday 19,Nigeria will hold hands with Lybia in their day-2 outing in the Championship.
