2018 Elite One Championship: Fovu of Baham tops League after Day-8

2018 Elite One Championship, Fovu of Baha, tops the league table after the Day-8 action meanwhile Young Sport Academy of Bamenda remains faithful to their 1-0 victory edging their opponents Colombe FC.

 

Matches counting for Day-8 of the 2018 Elite One Championship have been fielded in stadia nationwide with some teams making strides and improving their tally on the general classification table.

A total of nine matches were played with a total of fifteen goals registered. Fovu FC of Baham now enjoys leadership with seventeen points after Day-8 clashes.

The boys from Baham snatched the leadership position from Feutcheu FC of Bandjoun that temporally occupied the first sit after day 7 action.

A highlight of Day-8 matches was marked by the match pitting Apejes of Mfou and Stade Renard of Melong. Apejes worked hard to edge Stade Renard in a 2 – 0 game.

The victory has helped Apejes to migrate from the relegation zone to the tenth position on the general classification table of the Elite one championship.

Young Sport Academy of Bamenda stayed faithful to their signature 1 – O victory over their opponents Colombe FC. Young Sport now occupies the 5th position with a total of thirteen points.

Coton Sport of Garoua thanks to a 2-0 win over visiting New Stars of Douala now occupy the second spot with fifteen points.

Defending Champions Eding Sport of the Lekie defeated the newly promoted AS of Fortouna 3 – 0.
