Cameroonian born, Alexander Belinga has been designated Interim Coach of the Indomitable Lions.The 56-year old former footballer replaces the Belgian tactician Hugo Broos at the helm of affairs of the Cameroon National team.
The information was made public later this 9th March 2019 in two separate decisions signed by the President of the Normalisation Committee at FECAFOOT,Dieudonne Happi.
Alexandre Belinga assumes office for as long as a new coach will be recruited for the team.
The Man; Alexandre Belinga
Born on 25 August 1962, the man played with Tonnere Kalara Club of Yaounde in the 1980s.
In 1981, Alexandre was called to camp with the Intermediate Lions and during his stay with the team he partcicipated in three different World Cups in this category.
Upon completion from the National Institute of Sports ,INJS, Belinga tutored many local division one and two teams for sometime;

Before his appointment as interim coach, Alexandre Belinga served as Deputy Coach of the Indomitable Lions for five years under one time German born Coach Folker Finke and the outgoing Belgian, Hugo Broos.

After the departure of Volker Finke, Alexandre Belinga and his colleague, Bonaventure Djonkep were assigned the task of seeing Cameroon through at the 2015/2016 World Cup Qualifiers.
The decision from the Normalistion Committee at the FECAFOOT comes just on time as the National team has been withouth a coach for three months.
The expectations are high as Cameroonians await just the best from team come 2019 AFCON.
For the moment,FECAFOOT has launched a recruitment exercise for a new Coach head the Indomitable Lions.
