Senatorial Elections: CRTV relays party campaigns
Senatorial campaigns began on CRTV on Monday 12th March 2018.The national broadcaster has crafted special campaign programs aired on television and the national radio station to give each list an equal chance.
The senatorial campaigns officially began on Saturday 10th March 2018, but political parties began animating the airwaves of CRTV this Monday 12th March 2018.
Campaigns on Television
Three new bilingual programs have been created as part of information and campaign for the 25th March 2018 senatorial election on the mother television channel.
The three programmes, broadcast daily include;
# Senatorial Campaign News -7 pm
# Senatorial Magazine -9pm
# Electoral Propaganda – 10 pm
Campaigns on Radio
Similar bilingual programs aired on the airwaves of the National Radio station include;
# Senatorial Campaign News – 2pm and 6pm daily in English with Samson Websi and Doris Bate Tataw respectively.
At 12.00 in French with Bertin Ayangma and 9pm with Vincent de Paul Atangana
# “From the Campaign Train” comes up during Cameroon Magazine which runs from 11am- 2pm and on “Luncheon date” aired from 2pm-4pm
daily.
Crtv’s management has taken all necessary measures to ensure that the broadcast of the campaigns go on hitch-free and even more important ; that all political parties get an equal chance.
