Secondary Education: Stakeholders Aim at a successful 2017/2018 Final Examinations
Some senior officials of the Ministry of Secondary Education have crafted measures to ensure the smooth organisation of the 2017/2018 official examinations.The opening session of the exercise that held in Yaoundé was chaired by the Minister of Secondary Education, prof. Nalova Lyonga.
Prominent among some of the issues discussed were;
# the school attendance rate for the current academic year.
# Syllabus coverage
# Participation at final exams
During the meeting, the minister applauded teachers for boosting the school attendance through the organization of remedial courses for students. Many of such students have registered for final exams to begin in less two weeks.It was disclosed that schools in eight out of the ten regions had a hitch-free academic year.

The following regional figures were presented during the session.
#The North West increased from 15% last academic year to 70% this academic year
# The South West Region increased by 8% in the 2017/2018 academic year
# General increase in the number of students registered for official examinations
The case of the Far North and East Regions which have been struggling with the effects of insecurity was equally said to have improved.The stakeholders also sought solutions to problems susceptible to hindering the smooth organization of the final exams. At the end of the meeting, the minister called on all students registered for the official exams to massively turn out with the goal of succeeding .
