Insecurity: Minister of Territorial Administration goes to Yaounde 6th subdivision

 The residents of Nkol Ndoe ll in the Yaounde 6 subdivision have been in total bewilderment following the fissure of a rock that hangs above their homes causing insecurity.

The uncertainty caused by the fissured rock prompted the visit of the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji and the governor of the Centre Region Naseri Paul Bea to the area.

The two authorities were welcomed by the Mayor of the Yaounde 6 Council, Yoki Onana and the village head, Alexandre Nafie Yomo.

An eager crowd of Nkol Ndoe II followed the Minister up to the hill where the fissured rock looms, threatening to give way.

The Mayor and the village head explained that atmospheric conditions further widened the old crack on the rock that now threatens to give way.

Minister Atanga Nji, conscious of the gravity of the situation exhorted the population to stay safe.

The Territorial Administration Boss assured the population of President Paul Biya’s continuous support.

He stated that prompt solution to the problem will be sought as he called for calm to reign in the locality.

He said a report of their visit will be forwarded to the Head of State Paul Biya which he assures will be treated as a matter of urgency.

The local authorities were enjoined to sensitise the population of the danger of building in the disaster area.
