Crisis in NW/SW :Government launches an Emergency Humanitarian Assistance plan
The Prime Minister Head of Government has launched an eighteen month Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Plan for victims of the crisis in the North West and South West regions.
The plan estimated to cost CFA12.7 billion will be finance by the 2018/2019 state budget, national solidarity and development partners.
The Humanitarian Assistance targets
# Refugees in Nigeria:21291
Internally displace persons.
#North West Region: 6262

The assistance shall be extended to victims trapped in their communities.
Objectives of the plan
# Restore a condusive atmosphere that favours development of communities affected by the crisis.
#Provide emmerrgency humanitarian assistance to victims of the crisis
#Ensure socio-economic of reintergration of victims
#Promote social chesion and the spirit of living together
# Rehabilitate damaged infrastructure especially schools.
The plan shall be executed by an ad hoc committe placed under the Ministry of Territorial Administration.
Apart from the fifteen ministries involved, the Red Cross and the Community Driven Development Programme PNDP will jointly execute the eighteen months programme.
