Presidential Election 2018: Maurice Kamto cancels trip to Maroua

The MRC candidate for the election of the President of the Republic of Cameroon has suspended his trip the the Far North region.

Maurice Kamto made a u-turn after his rally in Garoua.

His campaign team has not advanced any reason for the change of plan.

However, the incumbent and candidate of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM is expected to launch his campaigns in Maroua this weekend.

Security and campaign deployment could be seen in various vehicles driving to the Far North region.

The National Youth Vice President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, Noyem Moise told CRTV web on telephone that, Maurice Kamto plans to carry out a tour of the Centre region on Saturday, prior to a grand rally in Yaounde on Sunday 30th September 2018.

The Yaounde rally will be attended by the Head of Maurice Kamto’s Campaign team, Paul Eric Kingue among other influential supporters.
