Presidential Election 2018: Maurice Kamto launches campaign
The presidential candidate of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement political party has official launched campaigns for the the October 2018 presidential election.
Maurice Kamto told his supporters in Bonaberi that he will stand with them at for them at all times.
During first campaign meeting in Douala, Maurice Kamto told supporters that his first official trip as President of the Republic if he is elected as the third president of Cameroon will be to the North West and South West region.
He said is priority will be to settle the anglophone crisis, bring back the Cameroonians who have sought refuge in Nigeria.
He also promised to reconstruct homes destroyed during the crisis. He also promised to provide vocational and material assistance to Cameroonian youths to rebuild their economy.
The Secretary General of the party, Barrister Ndong Christopher told populations of the North West and South West regions who are settled in Douala that MRC has the solution to the anglophone crisis.
Paul Eric Kingue head of Kamto’s campaign team told supporters in Douala that the time for change is now, the Kamto is the change of the time. He said if 40% of Kamto’s political programme is applied Cameroon will be an emerging economy.
Members of the coalition of political parties and trade unions that support Maurice Kamto were also present at the launch of campaigns.
