The candidate of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, CRM says he is ready to become the third President of Cameroon.
Maurice Kamto was addressing a crowd of anxious supporters at the esplanade of the Yaounde Omnisport Stadium.
The political rally began with a musical concert featuring a number of musicians including Valsero who’s hit song welcomed Maurice Kamto to the podium.
The supporters who waved the Cameroon flag defied the heavy down pour and after the scorching sun. They chanted in chorus with Valsero, “on ne bouge pas” roughly translated as “we will not budge”.
The crowds danced along with the rap singer who recently announced his support to Maurice Kamto during a press conference in Yaounde.
For the first time since the start of campaigns, the Kamto campaign team projected live images of the rally on giant TV screens installed at the site.
During the political rally, some influential supporters in the likes of Penda Ekoka, Jules Nyonga, former head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Paul Eric Kingue, HRH Biloa Effa, traditional ruler in the Centre region and Andre Essama were present.
Other MRC party bigwigs like Alain Fogue, Sosthene Medard Lipot and others took turns to “kick the penalty” which according to them, will give victory to Maurice Kamto on 7th October presidential poll.
