NW/SW: President Paul Biya orders discontinuance of proceedings for 289 detainees
The Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic has signed a press release this 13th December 2018.
The release announces President Paul Biya’s instruction to discontinue proceedings at the military court involving 289 detainees.
The detainees are being tried in relation to the socio-political upheavals in the North West and South West regions.
The release states that the President’s instruction comes on the hills of the installation of the Coordinator of the National Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration Committee.
