North West Development Authority : Matoya Cletus Anye becomes Director General

Matoya Cletus Anye is the new Director General of the North West Development Authority ( MIDENO) . He was appointed by presidential decree on Friday, 14th December 2018.

Before his appointment, Mr Matoya Cletus has been the delegate of trade for the North West Region since 2010.

The new MIDENO Director General takes over at a crucial time in the history of the region . The region has been greatly affected by the ongoing socio-political crisis.

Academic and professional life

Mr Matoya was born in Mankon in 1967. He attended the prestigious sacred Heart College Mankon. Upon completion, the seasoned economist proceeded to the University of Yaounde ll where he obtained a degree in Economics.

He then moved to the Higher Ecole Normal where he was trained as an economics teacher.

He has taught in GBHS Nkambe, and Mankon. The new MIDENO Director General is also a member of the ruling CPDM party.

The North West development authority MIDENO was created by presidential decree No 81/350 of 13/8/81. The institution oversees rural development projects in the North West region.
