National Gendarmerie: The Secretary of State on a three Region visit
The National Gendarmerie has been instructed to intensify collaboration with the other defence forces, administrative authorities and the population as solution to the precarious security situation in the NW Region.
The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie, Galax Etoga made the call in Bamenda during the second lap of his working visit to the South West, North West and West Regions.
The Secretary of State began the three Region tour in Buea where he visited gendarmerie units, operational and training centres.
On each stop, the Gendarmerie boss was updated with the security situation in the Region.
During the tour, he transmitted the message of congratulation from the Head of State to the defence and security forces that have demonstrated bravery and a high sense of patriotism in dealing with recurrent attacks from pro- successionist forces.
The trip to these regions constitute the second phase of a nationwide visit that began in the three northern regions late 2018.
