National Gendarmerie: Officials chat a new vision for 2019
The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defense in charge of the National Gendarmerie, Galax Etoga has promised zero tolerance to indiscipline.
He was speaking at the annual hoisting of the National flag, an event to extend new year wishes to personnel of the elite Corps.
The event was occasion to take stock of activities in 2018 and make provisions for 2019.
The Gendarmerie boss saluted the patriotism of troops participating in the fight against Boko Haram in the Far North region.
He also saluted troops fighting cross border criminality in the East region and those involved in armed separatists movement in the North West and South West regions.
Galax Etoga saluted other officials of Territorial brigades for checking crimes in the rural areas and others who have been active in road safety.
The gendarmerie boss congratulated officials for the setting up of an intelligence centre in Yaounde adding that a toll free number, 1501 has been opened to contain deviant gendarmes officers.
The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defense in charge of the National Gendarmerie communed with all, officers to the rank and file.
