National Assembly : SDF mourns parliamentary group leader

Honourable Banadzem Joseph Lukong, SDF Parliamentary group leader is dead.

The SDF MP died early this Saturday 30th March 2019 at about 3am at the Yaounde General Hospital.

SDF shadow cabinet Minister in charge of Information and Media, Jean Robert Wafo, announced the passing away of the influential big wig of the party.

Honourable Banadzem Joseph Lukong was Social Democratic Front, SDF party’s Parliamentarian for Bui Constituency.

The Member of Parliament from Kumbo in the North West region was in Yaounde for the 9th legislature that opened three weeks ago at the National Assembly.

He was member of the Committee on Defence and National Security at the National Assembly.

He was just finishing two terms as SDF group leader.  He took over from Honourable Mbah Ndam Joseph, who was elected Vice President at the National Assembly in 2007.

He death coincides with the examination in plenary of the bill on regional elections and that allocating number of sits and modalities for the election of regional councillors and representatives of chiefs.

    “His” death not “He” death. “Seats” not “Sits”. We all make mistakes though.
