Football: Cameroonian International players making juicy transfers

Some Cameroonian players worldwide have joined the transfer train to seek better deals or renew their already existing contracts with their football outfits

As the hustle and bustle roll on, other players have renewed their contracts while waiting for juicy offers in due time.
The transfer season is still on till September but here are some of the major transfer for the moment;

Andre Franck Zambo in Villarreal


Cameroonian International football player, Andre Franck Zambo has sealed a new deal with Spanish outfit Villarreal.
The former Marseille and Fulham midfielder, Andre Franck Zambo joins the Spanish side on a long term loan deal with an option of a subsequent permanent contract.
At 23, the imposing midfielder ended the 2019 AFCON with a successful record of the ‘Man of the Match’ against Guinea Bissau and Ghana.He joins another Cameroonian, Karl Toko Ekambi in Villarreal.

Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui joins KAA Gent


28 year old Cameroon center back, Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui has joined Belgian side Koninklijke Atletiek Associatie Gent, commonly known as KAA Gent.
The defender leaves Czech side Slavia Prague on a 4 year deal.
Ngadeu joined Slavia Prague in 2016, from Romanian side Botoșani, and won the 2017–18 Czech Cup. He was earlier tipped for a juicy contract with English Premier League side Fulham.

Arnaud Djoum leaves Heart for AL RAED in Saudi Arabia


Indomitable Lions Midfielder, Arnaud Djoum has joined the transfer market after concluding a 4-year deal with Saudi Arabian first-tier side, AL RAED.
Arnaud Djoum leaves Hearts of the Midlothian after four years with a record of one hundred and ten appearances.
AL RAED have been playing in the Pro league since 2008, and they ended 8th out of 16 teams in the 2018/19 season.
The 2017 AFCON joins the team at 30.

Jean Pierre Nsame renews contract with Young Boys

Cameroon international striker, Jean Pierre Nsame has renewed his contract with Young Boys of Berne.
The contract extends till summer of 2023.
The Cameroonian international helped Young Boys of Berne to grab their second consecutive league title after a 31 years, last season.
Nsame failed to join the Lions den for the 2019 AFCON due to an injury.
He scored 15 league goals in 29 appearances last season for the Swiss league winners.
Nsame is team mate with countryman Moumi Ngamaleu.

25-year Njie Clinton moves to Dynamo Moscow


Cameroonian International forward, Clinton Njie has signed a 4 year deal with Russian side Dynamo Moscow
The former Olympique of Marseille player sealed a deal of 5.5 Million Euros with his new club.
Marseille had earlier placed a 6 Million Euros transfer fee on Njie Clinton, but the contract was slightly less.
Njie signed for Marseille from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported sum of € 7 million in July 2017.
The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations winner has spent 3 years at the club (2016-2019) in his 6 years stay in France.

Sabestien Bassong signs new contract with Volos FC


Former Tottenham Hotspurs’ defender, Sébastien Bassong, has agreed to join newly promoted Greek League 1 side Volos FC.
The 35-year moves from English 4th tier side, Peterborough FC.
Bassong has been handed the number 4 jersey at his new club in Volos Magnesia.
He has played in multiple English sides and moves to Greece for a new start in his career.
Allan Romeo Nyom in Spain with Getafe
Cameroon’s international right back Allan Nyom has joined Spanish La Liga side Getafe on a two year deal.
Last season, the 31 year old defender was on loan at another La Liga side, CD Leganes from West Bromwich Albion.
The former Watford defender is the latest arrival at Getafe.

Ndy Assembe leaves AS Nancy-Lorriane


33 year old Cameroon international shot stopper, Guy-Roland Ndy Assembe has been shown the door at AS Nancy-Lorraine, a France based second tier club.
The Cameroon goalkeeper made 20 appearances last season for Nancy and helped them to a 14th place finish on the log.
The former FC Nantes, Valenciennes and Guingamp goalkeeper’s contract expired at the end of the season but was not renewed.
