National dialogue: website for suggestions created

The government of Cameroon has created a website with address the www.nationaldialogue.cm to facilitate the reception of contributions from those willing to partake in the major national dialogue convened by President Paul Biya.

In a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s office the website will enable all those willing to give their contributions toward the holding of the national dialogue to do so at their convenience.

The contributions will then be forwarded to the Prime Minister’s office for centralisation and exploitation.

The release also states that contributions can also be sent directly to the Prime Minister’s office in a sealed envelope addressed “Grand National Dialogue”. The envelope should be deposited at room D1 at the Prime Minister’s office.

Contributions can be forwarded through Regional Governors, SDOs, DOs and via Cameroon’s diplomatic representations abroad.

The forwarding of proposals online is line with enlarge consultions prior to the national dialogue convened by President Paul Biya on Tuesday 10th September 2019.

The website www.nationaldialogue.cm has 12 rubrics and gives minute by minute updates on the process as well as reactions from the diplomatic corps, the diaspora, the civil society, traditional and religions leaders, business operators, trade unions amongst others.

The website also gives precise information on the venue and date of the major national dialogue.  It gives directives on online accreditation for media men and women intrested to cover the event.
