Audrey Nabila Monkam wins Miss Cameroon 2020

The 24 year old beauty queen was elected on December 28, 2019 during the finale of the 14th edition of Miss Cameroon at the Yaounde multi-purpose sports complex.

Audrey Nabila Monkam wearing dorsal number 7 at the competition was able to stand out from the other candidates with her performance, pushing the jury and the public to vote her as Miss Cameroon 2020.

She takes over from Caroline Nseke who has been holding the crown for 2 years and will have to represent Cameroon during international beauty contest.

The evaluation was carried out in stages with a jury who graded them on beauty, smile elegance, and speech.

First, the girls marched with town attires.

Secondly with traditional outfits, in this stage the 20 contestants paraded the podium  with attires from the 10 regions of the country and communicated in their various mother tongues.

3rd was with swimsuits, they had to show their physical beauty.

The 4th parade was with evening outfits.

After these 4 stages, 11 were selected out of the 20 contestants and the competition continued, 6 were later selected from the 11.

Then came the momentum when the Miss and her Runners Up had to be selected.

The jury graded the candidates using the above mentioned criteria.

Miss Cameroon 2020: Audrey Nabila Monkam, 24 years, and measures 1:80 meter tall. She received a cash price of 5 million cfa frs, a 4 wheel drive, a ticket of 1.5 million cfa frs offered by Ethiopian Airlines, and many other gifts.

The 1st runner up Marguerite Dieunie Kilama, 25 years old,1:79 metres went home with a cash price worth 3 million cfa frs and many others from partners present.

The 2nd runner up,Rose Noella Moyou Arrey.22 years old, received a cash price of 2million cfa frs and gifts from partners.

The 3rd runner up Charline Stephanie Amougou, 23 years,1.70 metres got a cash price Worth 1.5million cfa frs.

4th runner up Adama Ruth Ule Ayanuru, 26 years, 1.80m received 1 million cfa frs and the

5th runner up Duchess Irene Kolle 24 years, 1.77 mètres cash price of 500,000cfa frs.

Audrey Nabila Monkam revealed her project in front of the Minister of Arts and Culture Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mkpwat, to create a vocational program where adults and youths will always sit and discuss to promote cultural diversity, multiculturalism, living together.

Invited guests such as Miss England 2020, Miss Cote D’Ivoire 2020, were present at the event.

Renowned artist such as Govinal Ndinga Essomba, Magasco, Sandrine Nanga and Albero added colour to the event with their performances.
