Ebolowa: Prime Minister Dion Ngute Inaugurates Bengo Hotel
The doors of Bengo International Hotel in Ebolowa in the South Region have been officially opened for commercial activities to kick off.
Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute inaugurated the three star Hotel during a ceremony in South regional capital, Ebolowa.
The ceremony brought together a host of members of government, administrative and civil society personalities and a cross section of the population of the south region.
The government owned hotel has 92 rooms, restaurants, conference halls and a fitness centre. The government of Cameroon spent some 15 billion CFA Francs for the construction of the three star hotel.
It is a materialisation of a promised made by President Paul Biya to the people of the South Region.
The Prime Minister said architectural jewel is expected to create 100 direct and 300 indirect jobs there by boosting the local economy of the region.
The project that began in 2010 following the laying of the foundation stone was constructed by a Chinese company.
Prime Minister Visits Others Projects In The South
During his stay in the South Region, Prime Minister – Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute inspected some government sponsored infrastructural projects under execution in the South region.
He was at the construction site of the low cost housing scheme launched under the 3-year emergency plan. He was informed of the level of progress for the construction of 100 apartments.
The Prime Minister equally made an appraisal of the state of evolution of The Ebolowa Gynaecological and Obstetric hospital as well as the Refrigerated Warehouse under construction in the South regional capital.
During his stopover at the different project sites, the Prime Minister encouraged construction teams to accelerate work on their respective projects intended to improve the living conditions of the population.
