Less than two months to the kick off of the African Nations Championship, CHAN 2020, Cameroon Prime Minister – Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute has affirmed the country’s readiness for the tournament.
The Prime Minister made the assessment of evaluation exercises in the South West and Littoral regions.
Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute received a Hero’s welcome in the South West regional capital Buea. The population rejected calls for a ghost town and turned out massively to welcome the son the soil, traditional ruler and Head of Government.
The PM saluted their cheers and warm reception. He expressed his love to be in the region where he began primary school several years ago.
Prime Minister visited the Limbe Omnisport stadium. He saluted the progress made since his last visit some months back.
In the Economic Capital, the Head of Government visited the Japoma stadium that was recently completed. He described the stadium as a jewel that reflects Cameroon as a great football nation.
He said the stadium that meets international standards and is better than what exists in some developed countries.
He also the visited the reunification stadium as well as the Mbappe Leppe Stadium that will be used for training sessions.
At the end of his visit, the Prime Minister was assured that Cameron is ready for the the African Nations Championship, CHAN in 2020 and subsequently the African Cup of Nations AFCON in 2021.
