Higher Education: Government launches recruitment of 549 lecturers
A total of 549 Doctorate decree holders will be recruited as university lecturers into the eight State Universities in 2020.
The recruitment process was launched by the Prime Minister and Head of government, Joseph Dion Ngute , on February 14, 2020.
It is the second phase of the recruitment of 2000 university lecturers launched by President Paul Biya on November 13, 2018.
The first phase in 2019 saw the recruitment of 1237 university lecturers.
Eligible applicants for this second phase are required to be Cameroonian nationals, not more 45 years by the 1st October 2020.
Who gets what
As specified by the communique, the number of places per university is as follows.
# 72 University of Bamenda
# 71 University of Buea
# 70 University of Douala
# 61 University of Dschang
# 57 University of Maroua
# 71 University of Ngoundere
# 71 University of Yaounde l
# 56 University of Yaounde ll
# 21 Quota for academic regulation
The recruitment exercise will be coordinated by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo.
The deadline for the reception of all application files is May 21, 2020.
Applicants resident abroad will deposit their files in Cameroonian embassies abroad.
