Cameroonian Agile Striker, Choupo-Moting In Good Shape with PSG

Captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Maxim Choupo-Moting has scored two of the 7 commanding goals his French side Paris Saint Germain imposed on 

Waasland-Beveren at the Parc des Princes in a friendly.

Recently, the striker’s tenure was extended with the French heavyweight PSG after his contract came to an end with the club.

In preparations for the two domestic cup finals and UEFA Champions League quarter-finals matchup, Paris Saint-Germain welcomed Waasland-Beveren .

After scoring two goals in PSG’s commanding 7-0 win, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting took to the microphone to expressed his wish to do better this time

“It was nice to find the Parc with more supporters. We haven’t played here for a long time. It was a pleasure. In addition, I scored two goals. We showed a good performance this evening. The most important thing is that we found a little rhythm,” Choupo-Moting said. “We took both games seriously. Even if we won the first game 9-0, it was not easy. We played very well today too. We were serious from the first minute.”

It is important to recall that, the last time the capital club played in Paris was March 11, when PSG defeated Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.

Concerning their preparations against Atlanta in the next Champions League round of 16, the Cameroonian said it is obviously going to be a tough shot but his club PSG is focused

Choupo-Moting Stays In PSG

The 2019/2020 Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain has extended the contract of Eric Choupo-Moting until the end of the 2019-20 football season.

The forward’s two-year deal was set to expire at the end of the second transfer window, that is June 2020 but the outbreak of #COVID19 means the season will be extended.

Football activities have been suspended in France and across the world since mid-March following the pandemic, including the French top-flight ligue.

PSG will compete for two more domestic titles, Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue which have been scheduled for July 24 and 31 respectively.

According to L’Équipe, Choupo-Moting, Thiago Silva and Sergio Rico have been handed contract extensions to enable them to play in the three competitions.

The Cameroon international made a stunning switch to the Parc des Princes outfit in the summer of 2018 following the relegation of Stoke City from the Premier League, having featured for the side in the 2017-18 season.

The forward made an impressive start to his PSG career, scoring in his first game in Ligue 1 after making his debut against Liverpool in a Champions League game.

The 31-year old Choupo-Moting has made 48 appearances for the Parisians across all competitions, scoring eight goals during his two-year stay with the side so far.
